Silverado
Palisades Tahoe

About this zone
Silverado is Palisades’ experts-only backside that feels tucked away and serious the moment you drop in. The terrain is steep and technical across the zone, and there’s no truly mellow exit once you commit. The most straightforward options are the named routes, Land Bridge and Oregon Trail; everything else through the gates quickly turns into more complex line choice and higher stakes.
Best When
When it’s actually open and you’re looking for advanced, consequential skiing with a more remote feel than the front side. If you want to keep it controlled, treat it as a zone to sample in short hits, starting with Land Bridge or Oregon Trail to get a read on the snow and visibility before pushing farther.
Watch Out For
This is high-consequence terrain with steep chutes, cliff bands, and hidden drops, with very limited margin for error. If it’s your first time back here, stick to the named routes and build familiarity before venturing out other gates. Take time to evaluate lines before committing, because features can be hard to see until you’re on top of them.
