Welcome to SnowSignals ("Service"), a web application that provides on-the-ground snow forecasts, owned and operated by Paw Patrol LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
1. Scope of Use
- Personal Use Only: The Service is for personal, non-commercial use unless you have entered into a separate agreement with us.
- No Guarantees: The Service combines advanced weather models with our proprietary physics models to provide informational tools to assist with planning but does not guarantee safety, accuracy, or suitability for any purpose.
2. Accounts
- Account Creation: Some features may require registration. You agree to provide accurate and updated information when creating an account.
- Free Use: The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce subscription plans or fees in the future, with prior notice and updated Terms.
3. User Responsibilities
- Verification: You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information before acting on it.
- Risk Awareness: Backcountry skiing involves inherent risks, including property damage, injury, or death. You assume all risks and agree to exercise due diligence and caution.
- Conduct: You agree not to:

- Scrape, crawl, or misuse the Service.
- Upload harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
4. Data and Content
- Ownership: You retain ownership of content you upload ("User Content"). By uploading, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, modify, and display your User Content for the purposes of providing the Service.
- Public Sharing: Content marked as public may be viewed and downloaded by others. You acknowledge that we cannot guarantee its permanent deletion once shared.
- Analytics and Data Use: We track analytics to improve the Service and enhance user experience. We never sell your personal data to third parties. Analytics data is used solely for product improvement, bug fixes, and feature development.
5. Intellectual Property
All rights to the Service, including our on-the-ground snow forecasts, advanced weather models, proprietary physics models, maps, data, and features, belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without permission.
6. Liability and Disclaimers
- No Warranty: The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for damages is capped at $50. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

- Service Changes: We may modify or discontinue features of the Service without prior notice.
- Availability: We do not guarantee continuous or error-free operation and are not responsible for delays or interruptions.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or other reasons permitted by law.

- Choice of Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in class actions.
