Sky
Heavenly

About this zone
Sky is a go-to zone on Heavenly’s California side, perched just under Monument Peak with big, open sightlines and the kind of views that make you stop for a second. It tends to catch storm snow well, and the terrain has enough width to let strong skiers spread out and find their own rhythm, whether you’re carving or ducking into softer pockets when they’re available.
Best When
Come here when you want fast, reliable groomers paired with lake views, especially when the rest of the mountain feels crowded. It’s also a strong play right after a solid storm, when the higher-elevation snow stacks up and you can find fresher turns without fighting for every stash.
Watch Out For
The Skyline connector is relatively flat and repetitive—easy to underestimate how tiring it will be when looped. Ridgeline exposure often means wind-scoured, icy crust on top and softer, breakable snow below; late‑season coverage can be thin at edges and along the ridge.
