Pinnacles
Heavenly

About this zone
Pinnacles is a high-elevation, west-facing zone tucked just below Monument Peak. It’s mostly off-piste skiing with a bit of a choose-your-own-adventure feel, where the best lines reward good route-finding and a willingness to poke around. Expect natural snow, variable textures, and terrain that skis more like a zone you explore than a set of obvious runs.
Best When
Right after a storm, this west-facing, high-elevation terrain can load up with snow and stay quieter than nearby, more popular zones like Sky and Canyon. If you’re hunting soft turns and don’t mind trading convenience for a little traversing and decision-making, Pinnacles is at its best while the new snow is still untracked and the light is workable.
Watch Out For
This is not a place to ski on autopilot. Dense pockets of trees and plenty of rocks make it easy to get surprised if you’re not looking ahead, especially with fresh snow hiding hazards. In lower visibility the off-piste nature and subtle rollovers can make line choice harder, so keep speed in check until you’ve got good contrast and a clear plan.
