Olympic
Heavenly

About this zone
Olympic is a compact, lower-elevation Nevada sector with long, consistent intermediate fall-lines—roughly 9,555 ft down to 8,584 ft (about 970 vertical feet). East/SE/NE aspects give steady medium-steep pitches that ride directly under the Olympic Express. Expect cruiser-friendly groomers, open intermediate faces and clear sightlines; it’s more about sustained turns than tight trees or technical chutes.
Best When
Mid‑morning once east and SE aspects soften after overnight freeze–thaw for corn; after cool, low‑density Pacific systems that lay light powder on the fall-line; east-facing slopes are often sheltered from prevailing SW ridgetop gusts, so soft snow holds longer here.
Watch Out For
Lower elevation means you’ll see morning refreeze/ice and late‑day slush or punchy melt. Narrow connector routing in/out requires following resort signs; high traffic under the lift leads to tracked-out ruts and occasional blind rollovers where collisions occur.
