Treeline Cirque
Alpine Meadows

About this zone
Treeline Cirque is a reliable Alpine Meadows hub that does a little of everything. It serves intermediate laps off the mid-station, gives advanced skiers quick shots from the top, and doubles as a common access point to the backside, which is why it can feel busy for such a compact zone. Expect straightforward groomers from mid-mountain, shorter steeper options up high, and a playful gully line that changes character a lot with coverage.
Best When
This zone is at its best in the days after a storm, when pockets in the trees and the gully hold soft snow longer than the obvious lines. It’s also a good choice when you want to stay off sun-affected snow and keep things simple with efficient groomer laps, especially if you’re trying to stack vertical without committing to anything complex.
Watch Out For
Traffic is the main tax here, especially when people are using it as a gateway to other areas, so plan for lines and chopped-up surfaces. The upper mountain can crust up around Art’s Knob, and Hot Wheels Gully has enough obstacles and small drops to punish lazy line choice when coverage is thin. Also note the flat runout after Yellow, where carrying speed matters more than you think.
