Lakeview
Alpine Meadows

About this zone
Lakeview is a mellow, intermediate-leaning zone tucked toward Alpine’s backside. It’s the kind of terrain you can ski on autopilot, mixing groomed runs with a bit of off-piste to keep things interesting, and it’s set up well for quick laps without a lot of decision-making.
Best When
This zone comes alive when you’re chasing a thaw. With its southwest exposure, it tends to soften later in the day, making it a good option when you want smoother turns after the sun has had time to work.
Watch Out For
That late-day softening cuts both ways. Early laps can be firm to icy before the sun gets on it, so edge hold matters. On the ungroomed lines, expect moderate moguls to build and stay in play, especially after traffic and refreezes.
